Congratulations to all involved in the production of the unique animation Video MARIN - inspired by the late
Danish Composer Axel Borup-Jørgensen’s orchestral magnum opus, Marin op.60!
It was a great honour to have Axel Borup-Jørgensen's daughter, Elisabet Selin (who sponsored the entire production),
to join me on stage to receive the most prestigious European prize in Classical Music Industry, the German
“Grammy”- OPUS KLASSIK Award on behalf of the whole team. The Award ceremony - broadcast on ZDF - took
place Sunday in the historic Konzerthaus Berlin, with great music as the centerpiece of the ceremonies.
Thanks also to OUR Recordings distributor in Germany, Naxos Germany for believing in this project, and to the
jury members for selecting MARIN as Musik-DVD-/Blu-ray- Produktion des Jahres (Musik).
MARIN has been extremely well received throughout the world, and it is my hope that this new way of presenting
modern classical music can reach and inspire younger audiences as well of seasoned concert-goers not as
familiar with contemporary music.
Concept and idea for MARIN:
